Learn To Let Go In Order to Evolve As A Business Leader
The longer I’ve been in business the more I’ve realised that it makes sense to listen to my team more.
Many organisations have internal politics to contend with or an owner who wants to find all the solutions.
Ego gets in our way. We want to be the cleverest in the room when it comes to our own walls. Business owners are trained this way as we often start out alone and have to find all of the answers.
I’ve been building a business to run without me for 10 years and the penny finally dropped in 2023. I’ve dedicated myself to self-development and business training virtually every week, built up a huge bank of knowledge and made some huge distinctions. Yet, I have left the team behind at times. I invested in myself and not so much the team.
For me to evolve into the ‘visionary’ role within CTA, I need to let go even more.
Listen a bit more, say a bit less.
Not only do the team find their own solutions, but they are often better as they are closer to the day-to-day.
They also have automatic buy-in as it’s their decision to make.
I’m excited to see how the team flourish in 2024.
