How ‘Can I’ Make My Numbers in My Business Plan a Reality?
In this video, we review what it means to make your numbers real. When I say ‘real’ I mean realistic. You may of heard of the term SMART goals.
S – Specific
M – Measurable
A – Attainable
R – Realistic
T – Timebound
This is how you should be approaching the GOALS you set for your business and also your personal life for that matter. Someone once asked me what is the biggest advice you can give me (he was a small business owner)? I said well I can’t give you specific advice but and can tell you that the most important thing you could and should do for your business (and your life for that matter) is to set some GOALS.
Elvis apparently said ‘Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine”. He is right, IF YOU WRITE YOUR AMBITIONS DOWN. If you don’t write them down then it could be like driving a mini engine (and not the new pokey ones)!
This video is not how to create your own business plan (do you already have one!?), it is to show you how to make things real. Firstly know what you want to achieve. Then assess where you are NOW. Next, assess what the gap is in terms of where you need to get to. Finally and probably the most important is what are you going to do about it?
